Garlic & Fennel

VINAIGRETTE

If you ask us—or nearly anyone who has tried it—Garlic & Fennel Vinaigrette has super-powers. Its fresh flavors go far beyond what you might expect from a bottled dressing, and it’s remarkably versatile.

The recipe is a testament to the Lemmo's Southern Italian roots. It's the “holy water” at the supper table and has been ubiquitous at family dinners since Lou Ann Lemmo, our matriarch, was at the stove simmering up sauce.

Serving suggestions: Try Lou Lou’s Kitchen Garlic & Fennel Vinaigrette as a vegetable salad dressing, to marinate pork or chicken, as a dipping sauce for toasted bread or drizzle it over sliced tomatoes (best enjoyed freshly-plucked from the garden).

Marinara

PASTA SAUCE

Without question, our marinara is  special. It's been the centerpiece of so many Lemmo Sunday family gatherings.

This  tomato sauce recipe has been passed down over multiple generations, dating back to the old country. Over the years and from parent to child, the traditional Italian recipe has been under lock and key.

Nearly two decades ago, Lou Ann and her son Tony began submitting their sauces separately in the Italian Festival. In 10 years, both mother and son earned nearly a dozen blue ribbons.

What makes the Lemmo sauce special? Tthe quality of ingredients, the extended simmer time and the fact that no meat or dairy products are used to make it. It's a divine Sunday gravy meant for any occasion.

Serving suggestions: Try Lou Lou’s Kitchen Marinara as a pizza sauce, add red chili flakes and toss with pasta for a spicy arrabiata entrée or stir in a splash of warm stock or cream for a simple 10-minute tomato soup.

Balsamic & Romano

VINAIGRETTE

The Balsamic & Romano Vinaigrette was something a young, twenty-something Tony Lemmo developed in his mother’s basement pastry kitchen.

Since then, this product has found its way into several of Tony's popular  restaurants (as well as many friends’ homes) since he's been mixing  and jarring it up the same way for the last 18 years.

Serving suggestions: Try Lou Lou’s Kitchen Balsamic & Romano Vinaigrette dressing for leafy greens, as the “secret weapon” in potluck-winning pasta salads,  to marinate chicken so each ounce is infused with Mediterranean flavor or as a dipping sauce for bread.
